Creating opportunity, encouraging a unified community and facilitating economic growth in Lansing. GLAD has been actively involved in recovery efforts from the start, with members holding leadership roles in recovery efforts and contributing over 12,000 hours since October 1. They raised funds through donations on their website and via checks to support residents and small businesses in Lansing. Aid provided includes funds to local small businesses, Blue Ridge Opportunity Commission, Lansing Bridge to Recovery, and local families, with reserve funds still available for future needs. GLAD continues to collaborate closely with the Town and other nonprofits to ensure essential resources reach those affected by the flood.

Lost Province Center for Cultural Arts is an artistic and cultural hub, stepping up to provide recovery needs after Helene, turning the property into a donation center and provided free hot meals to the community. Funds raised will support the building restoration fund at LPCCA.
